DEVLOG: Concrete Sphere Field Construction Script + Nanite

I wanted to create a vast field of concrete spheres that the player could walk through, so instancing and construction scripts were the way to go.

The video above shows the controls and how the spheres can be varied randomly, including a subtle RBG overlay, jittering of the grid, offsets and so on.

It’s pretty simple, involving starting a line trace straight down and spawning the instant on the first contacted surface. This will also be usefull for scattering objects too, after which the instances can be individually altered with instance tool or similar.
